I had so much fun planning and preparing food and activities for a little St. Patty's get-together this year. We invited Jamin, Shanda, and the two boys; Kristen and her three sweeties; and Adriana George with her three girls. I made a traditional Irish menu of corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, and carrots, Irish soda bread, and a green fruit salad (honeydew melon, kiwi, and grapes). Shanda brought a green vegetable salad (greens, snap peas, avocado, etc) and Kristen brought green chocolate popcorn balls. Tyson made green maraschino cherry drinks for the adults and green punch drinks with lime sherbet for the kids.
The kids kept busy coloring and piecing together leprechaun puppets, making green jello jigglers with their initials, getting their faces painted with shamrocks, following leprechaun footprints to a pile of chocolate gold, and of course....playing, playing, playing with friends.
During clean-up, we popped the boys into the bath...they had made quite a mess of themselves when all was said and done. As you can tell from their smiles, they had one fun day.
