This little superhero was born

Some facts about Matthew Tyson Kearns:
born in Fallon, NV
born in Fallon, NV

Determined and hard-worker. When he sets his mind to something, he achieves it
Peacemaker. I've come to realize more and more that Tyson is really good at helping people see the positive side and can quickly turn a situation from sour to sweet.
Take for example our recent trip to the health department for swine/seasonal flu/and adult Tdap booster shots. He immediately disarmed every person we came in contact with. I was in awe the entire time. He truly left people better than he found them
He is funny. One of the things I ADORED about Ty's first meeting with my family is that he had them laughing. My brother Chris was literally rolling on the ground laughing. It melted me.
HE IS A STUD. I often tell him that his looks were "my type" at every age. Seriously, I would've had a crush on him in elementary school, middle school, and high school.
This band geek/eagle scout was exactly what my show choir/teacher's pet personality would have been attracted to.
Ty had lots of close friends in his major and at his job at BYU. He was really likable. In fact, some of the guys created a fan club on Facebook called MTK fan club. What's funny about this is that Ty doesn't even have a facebook account. There were over 30 members, a rap they wrote and recorded about Ty, and tons of pictures of Ty edited into different situations. Here are a couple of the pics (there are 50+online) and the rap. I think he makes one cute oompa loompa.

Ty was an incredible missionary in the San Diego, CA mission
He doesn't care what other people think of him in the sense that he doesn't let peer pressure determine what he is or isn't going to do
Tyson has always had a strong sense of right and wrong...he is very valiant and truly always strives to do what's right
He studied Chinese for 3 years at BYU...and was really good. We almost moved to China for him to attend Nanjing University...then we found out we were expecting Carter and decided to stay in the states
He's a great dancer. He danced a lot with his sister, Mika, growing up and then took a bunch of ballroom classes at BYU...we even got to take some together after we were married.

We had actually broken up for good and I was leaving for the summer to be a nanny on the East Coast when Ty planned a last ditch effort date to win me back the day before he left for Alaska. He knows how to get what he wants. The date lasted all day and late into the night and I was blown away by his thoughtfulness and work and by the end of the night...
He comes from a great family. Kimball's middle name, Jefferson, is actually for Ty's Dad, Jeffrey, whom I ADORE. These are some really amazing people.
He is such a great husband, best friend, support, Dad, provider. I am so blessed to get to work towards eternity together with this man

Ty,
Thanks for being the man you are. Thank you for being such an example of righteousness for me and our kids.
We sure love ya!
