Happenings

Little lady's first big girl haircut
22 months

before
during...forget the haircut, all Taylee could talk about was getting to sit in a car and watch a movie...if anyone mentions her hair now, she immediately tells them about getting to watch a movie at Cookie Cutters.

Adventure Walk

So, last week I was watching my nephew and Karene's kids and it was pretty nice weather, so we decided to head to the ice cream shop at Thanksgiving Point by foot.

The kids were super excited about their big adventure. These three were all born within a week of each other. Braden the 20th, Jandi 25th, and Carter 28th of August...crazy!

The kids kept trying to decide if the "jungle" we were walking through was Madagascar or Alaska. The cold wind picked up pretty bad about halfway there, so my vote went to Alaska.

After running the last quarter to get out of the wind, we made our destination...ICE CREAM!! And even better-free ice cream for all the kids! The only mishap was learning that Carter is also allergic to pecans (to add to his repetoire of nuts he can't eat)
We decided we were having too much fun to head home just yet, so we walked next door to the Farm/petting zoo.

The kids boogied in the dance hall and got locked in jail

Then it was time for pony rides. Braden and Jandi picked big horses...no fear. Carter and Taylee, on the other hand, were all about the tiny ponies.

Carter and Jandi

And baby Beckham was just all around a super good sport

Next, we fed goats (or rather Jandi and Taylee fed goats while the boys watched)

April Fools Day

It's fitting that I can't turn this pic right-side up because that was the theme of preschool April 1st-a little lop-sided and backwards.

Everyone got to sound out their name spelled backwards and wear their new name during class

Homemade Peanut Butter

I've had a collection of peanuts sitting in our food storage from a caselot sale. Our kids are HUGE peanut butter eaters, so I decided to try my hand at our own peanut butter and had a blast...so simple and so yummy

What do you think, Taylee?

During one of those horrible-terrible-no good-very bad days, I had to cancel swimming at the Legacy Center with the kids, so we came home and swam in the tub instead

General Conference!
LOVED LOVED LOVED
The two talks on temples...the first on temple attendance and the second on making our homes temples have totally changed my life. I have enojyed-and even looked forward to-cleaning our home since those talks. It has made such a difference. And Elder Holland's talk on the atonement still brings tears to my eyes every time I think about it...SO POWERFUL to hear a disciple of Jesus Christ testify of Him. We loved having Sara over to share it with us.

Tay dressed up like Carter

And her very favorite activity-taking care of her babies (though Beckam is her very favorite)
