Easter

Growing up, I think my parents did a great job of separating the secular from the spiritual for holidays like Easter. This year, I haven't been as excited as years past for the secular celebration of Easter. I didn't even buy any of the good candy...not one single cadbury egg or mini cadbury egg...just not feelin' it. But-I have been really excited about teaching our kids the significance of this week and especially of Easter Sunday. My favorite FHE lesson growing up was this week. My mom would do a timeline of events and an egg activity with scriptures and accompanying objects. This year, she surprised me and sent me a package with the lesson and all the fillled eggs and I was so excited to talk about it with my little family. My big sis, Krista, posted this video and I just had to copy her. It was my favorite conference talk and what this season (and life in general) is all about.

Earlier in the week...
Karene invited the kids over to decorate eggs while I was teaching preschool...I thought they turned out great

I am so grateful for my Savior, my Perfect Example and Friend. For His sacrifice. For the Resurrection and for my testimony that I can live again...that I can be with my family eternally...that WE can live again with our Savior and Heavenly Father. I know it's true...and it's in this knowledge and testimony that I truly find peace.
