Last week for family night we talked to Carter about the passing of President Hinckley. We were blown away when we pulled out President Hinckley's picture and Carter said, "That's Gordon B. Hinckley, the Prophet. He died" We actually haven't talked to him a whole lot about the Prophet (beyond talking about the prophet during conference). I have to admit his nursery leaders beat us to the punch on this one. I've always had a testimony that nursery is awesome and kids need that foundation early on...this just totally solidified it.
For dessert, we split into teams and made cookies. Ty and Carter made snickerdoodles and Tay and I made banana oatmeal cookies.
I am so grateful for President Hinckley and his teachings. Family Home Evening has changed our lives. The gospel is so great!
