Miracles
I just have to comment on the many miracles Tyson and I have had in our life this past week. The first one was getting the house in Traverse Mountain. Our realtor has been INCREDIBLE! He is an old work buddy of Tyson's and has really bent over backwards to help us find an investment. He found this home in Traverse Mountain that had gone into foreclosure with the builder when it was 95% finished. He helped us put an offer together that we felt comfortable with and in a day, the offer was submitted. The day our offer went through, the seller received offers for $25,000 more than ours. (The seller was already selling it way under market value). We figured it was gone. We couldn't go any higher on our offer and decided to pray that if this was supposed to work out-we would get the house at the price we could afford. Our realtor called back and said the seller took OUR OFFER! It was truly a miracle. The seller's probably kicking himself now because he's had to pay extra to take care of title liens and some other hidden costs, but we feel really grateful we got such a great deal. Then, I started worrying that because we're on a tight budget with the house closing and all, I wasn't going to be able to afford girl clothes for our baby. We had put off buying any and now it was crunch time. Wednesday, I decided I should start going through Carter's clothes to find some that were white or yellow that could double for a girl. I want to have them washed and ready in case we have a repeat early baby. I was venting to myself all morning about having to put my little girl in boy clothes when I got a random call from my cousin Travis' wife, Kiji. I had run into their family at the University Mall a few weeks back. We hadn't see each other since Carter's birth. She was calling to say she was almost to our apartment with something for us. Carter and I went up to meet her and she had 2 BAGS OF GIRL CLOTHES! She had 2 girls (and 4 boys) and is now finished and was cleaning out her basement and thought I could use them!! I was flabbergasted! She was truly an answer to prayer and had no idea. I had so much fun pulling out the dresses, outfits, sleepers, and shoes. It made having a girl seem so real! I truly feel so blessed! Heavenly Father truly answers our prayers. The last little miracle happened this morning. Yesterday, some pieces to my preschool puffy calendar were lost. We had lots of little people in and out of the house and I worried that they were taken outside and were gone forever. The calendar was a gift from my first grade class at Freedom Elementary and I was so bummed that it was now incomplete. I was also missing one of the books from my beginning reading sets...you can't have a set with one book missing. I said a prayer with Carter that I would be able to find these missing preschool items before we moved. We searched the house and outside, but to no avail. Then, this morning I was vacuuming to get ready for the preschool party when I pulled out the attachment and found...the missing calendar pieces! They had been stuffed inside the skinny attachment. I was elated! Not 4 hours later, I was sitting at the computer and saw the missing book from my set poking out from the entertainment center. More miracles! Tyson and I truly feel so grateful to our Heavenly Father for all the many blessings and miracles he gives us! This week we have just been in awe at how much he truly cares and watches out for us.
