We have so many pictures-I feel a little overwhelmed to begin blogging, but I'm going to jump right in. I'll start in chronological order and go until Tyson's "Iron Chef America" ends (he's watching it in the living room to keep me company) and then I'll have to take a 2 day hiatus because Ty leaves for Colorado for a few days and is taking his computer with all the pictures.
Carter felt like he was the luckiest kid alive that he got to go on an airplane AND a big boat. It was almost too much excitement for a little guy to handle.
When we landed in Los Angeles, we caught a supershuttle to the pier to board the cruise ship. Apparently, in LA there is no seatbelt law and we weren't going to be able to carry Carter's car seat along with Taylee's so he rode in just a "big boy seat"...I think he felt very grown-up. Needless to say I was a bit of a nervous wreck during the drive...just wanted to get smoothly and safely through California driving.
Taylee kept herself busy while we waited for the shuttle by eating her toes...mmm
These were our first views of the Golden Princess as we approached in the shuttle
We made it through boarding fairly quickly (thankfully because the kids were getting CRANKY) and went to check out our room. CHeck out these bunk beds. They folded out from the wall on both sides of the room. However, they only had this little skinny railing on the side...not too safe for little ones. So, we ended up leaving the bunk beds up, getting a crib, and putting the twin beds together to make a queen bed. But, the kids thought they were cool for the short while they were able to play on them.
After getting a little settled in our room, we went in search of the buffet. Mmm...what a way to start off. The kids had suffered through a long day of traveling, so they weren't exactly angels at lunch, but it was really nice to have everything already prepared and the cleaning taken care of by someone else.
Well, Tyson's show just ended so I've got to stop here. Here's a few shots of what we spent our first day aboard doing:
Checking out the TV stations...there were a lot of movies I'd been wanting to see that I was able to catch up on while on the ship
Ty playing ping pong. He got schooled by this older woman ( but to his credit, she did end up winning the ladies title later in the week).
Lounging around while Dad played ping pong. I just loved Taylee in these chairs...for some reason it kind of exemplified "cruise ship" to me.
There's much much more...and the best is yet to come. On Friday, when Ty's back with the pictures, I'll continue on...

Hey Tecia! How are you? I liked your cruise post...I should've done it that way, by breaking it all up into sections. Instead it took me FOREVER to weed out pictures and make this super big post to try to get everything in! Anyways don't you miss the warm weather. I'm so sick of snow!
So I totally felt the rocking feeling so bad that you told us about after I was off the boat. For like 2 days I felt like my world was spinning. That was not fun. Chad didn't even feel it pretty much at all. How did you and your kids do with that?
What an adventure!!! I'm excited to see more pics!
fun pics t!! miss you!! Ü
Tecia! Looks like you guys had a great time! I'm excited to see more pics and stories... Oh, and glad that you made it there and back safely even though you had to have Carter unbuckled! I think that I would've been just as nervewracked as you if we had to do that... I'd be totally backseat driving the driver!
