My little helper Carter really turned it on today...the day I'm frantically trying to get clothes washed and errands run and suitcases packed and the house clean for our trip to San Antonio Yessirree-he pulled out all the stops. Here are some highlights:
- Shortly after putting him down for his nap he begins calling for me. I ignore him and keep working..."he's just trying to get out of his nap." He persists and begins crying. I walk into his room to find him squatting in a corner of his crib-bare buns-pooing. WHAT?! I guess I should've taken the hint last week to begin potty-training...he's taken matters into his own hands. I went out and bought a big pack of onesies to have him wear under his clothes. Hopefully that will allow me control over the situation for at least a little while. Needless to say, it added more fun laundry to my already overflowing pile.
- While packing for the trip, I had Taylee sitting atop the big cuddlebag...about 3 feet up. She started fussing, but I decided to finish what I was doing before picking her up. Carter was very concerned that Taylee was crying and decided to help by...picking her up. Keep in mind that she is half his weight. She falls...to the ground, head first. I saw it happening in my peripheral vision but couldn't get to her fast enough. She was so angry and I was horrified I had let it happen. Carter was really just trying to help...he felt so bad.
- While I was attending to a hurt and sad Taylee after the fall, Carter once again decided to help by pulling the Wii off the TV shelf...it was heavier than he expected (again) and it just about smashed into the TV...the TV survived, but the Wii got a little beat up.
- At the store running errands, Carter opened a box of snacks...right there in the store. I bought them.
Hopefully we can all make it to Texas intact...I have a feeling the flight will not be without adventure. Here we go...

This really made me laugh :-)! It definitely seems like they save up all their craziness for one day - maybe it's better that way though.
Hi Tecia! It's me Vanessa "Bruno" or now it's Vanessa Suttles. I'm at my sisters house and I thought I'd say hello and you have a really beautiful family and you look great. I've got three kids AJ is 6 and a half, Briana Ari is 3 and a half, and Alayna Ann is 5 months old. Life is wonderful with kids!
