Best Friends

This is Taylee's little bosom buddy, Ella Henkel. Her dad, Chad, is an old friend (from Ty's first year selling pest control in Houston) and is a manager with Tyson in the Salt Lake office this year. I have really enjoyed getting to know her mom, Crystal, and am glad that the little girls get along so well so that us moms have an excuse to spend more time together. When we laid the girls down to take these pictures, they kind of just cuddled into each other and rested their heads next to each other...it was so precious!

Crystal and I spending time with our little girls. The boys so willingly interrupted their Wii golf and boxing to take the pics....right :) Thanks boys!

Little sister

Taylee loves her Aunt Sara. She'll often just stare up at Sara and be perfectly content.

Random pics of our little princess just going about her life

Big brother

Carter being a "hands-off" brother. He asks to hold Taylee, I put her in his arms, and he promptly lets her go....big helper.

Swimming at the Lehi Legacy Center. Sara came and sat with Taylee the entire time while I took Carter swimming. He was pretty brave this time and even went down the little water slide.

I woke up one morning to hear Carter moaning, "Help, please." I went into his room to find him like this:

His chubby little leg had gotten stuck between the crib posts and he was "stuck" as he put it. I couldn't resist getting a pic to capture the moment....he wasn't too pleased when I walked out to get the camera.

For Memorial Day, we bought Carter a motorcycle to ride around in the basement. Our neighbor has a motorcycle and Carter loves it.

It looks like Ty is teaching Carter to drink and drive here...he was teaching him to chug IBC cream soda.

Self-explanatory....a little too much fun with dinner :)

SUPERMAN!

Carter loves hangin' with his Daddy, Oma, and Opa....even when Daddy sleeps through it...:)

A Trip to the Petting Zoo

For family night, we talked about animals and then took Carter to see some animals. First, we visited the Thanksgiving Point petting zoo and then we visited the animals at Cabelas. We had a blast!

Carter feeding the goats..what a brave little guy!

The peacocks. The white one was gorgeous...Sara wants to wear it for a costume.

Taylee was a sweet sleeping angel during Carter's pony ride. She was sleeping in the snugli on my chest and I couldn't resist snapping a picture.

Carter wasn't sure what to think of the pony ride. We think he enjoyed it, but he kept a serious face the entire time. He would look over at me and in a serious voice say, "neigh."

This horse was coming for me. I originally stood close for the picture, but the clydesdale kept getting closer and closer and lifting it's head to touch me. I was a little apprehensive and so kept my distance.

So...I don't know that Taylee got much out of the petting zoo-but here's a picture to prove she was there.

A visit from Oma and Opa

Oma and Opa Kearns came down from Alaska this past weekend and were able to spend a couple days with us. Carter adores his Opa and loved the extra attention. I think Taylee didn't mind the extra attention from Oma either. :) Here we are after church on Sunday just chillin' together. Oma and Opa had to leave for two weeks for a work retreat, but will be back to spend a few more weeks with us at the end of the month..yay! Jamin and Shanda will be back with the boys then and Isaac and Tannis are coming for a few days the beginning of July-it will be a party!
